Compared with the self-priming engine of the same displacement, the turbine engine not only has more horsepower and more explosive power at low speed, but also saves fuel at high speed. In addition, the turbine engine displacement is more pure, can meet the current very strict national Ⅵ emission standards. Therefore, these kinds of factors have made the Oems more inclined to vigorously develop small-displacement turbine engines, which has also caused the market to carry fewer and fewer models of self-suction engines.

However, the turbine engine and self-priming engine power system is different, relatively more delicate, we must pay attention to the following in daily use and maintenance, otherwise it may cause damage to the internal engine.





1. Don't change the gasoline label randomly

At present, the gasoline labels of domestic gas stations are mainly divided into three kinds: 92#, 95# and 98#. Different gasoline labels represent different octane numbers, the higher the gasoline label, the higher the octane content, the better the anti-knock of gasoline. In addition, different oil quality on the engine cylinder cleaning degree is not the same. What grade of gasoline the vehicle uses is completely calculated according to the compression ratio of the engine, and the higher the compression ratio of the engine, the higher the fuel grade that needs to be used.

For example, if your car is recommended to use 95# gasoline, we will privately replace the fuel with 92#, which seems to save some money on the surface, but for a long time, it may cause engine detonation, power attenuation, higher fuel consumption, worsening emissions and a series of problems, and even may cause engine life to shorten. In this way, reducing the engine fuel label at will not only can not save money, but also may face the risk of overhauling the engine, and the gain is not worth the loss.

Lowering the engine fuel label can not save fuel, then raising the fuel label can save fuel? In fact, this kind of thinking is not advisable. Just now we have mentioned that what grade of fuel the engine uses is completely formulated in accordance with the compression ratio, and increasing the fuel grade at will can not save fuel, but also waste some money. 2. Do not change the oil model at will

As we all know, there are different models of oil, each model has its own viscosity characteristics, and these different viscosity of oil is designed to adapt to different engine lubrication needs. Among them, our most common oil model is 5W-30 and 5W-40, the two kinds of oil seem to have a small surface difference, but under the fine comparison, this may be completely different two models of oil used.

I believe you have been very clear, "5W" represents the cold resistance of the oil, the smaller the value, the stronger the cold resistance. The "30" and "40" behind represent the oil viscosity, and the higher the value, the greater the viscosity of the oil. The main role of oil is to lubricate and cool the engine, as well as provide additional protection for the turbocharger. Compared with self-priming engines, turbine engines are more sensitive to changes in oil performance, oil pressure, oil viscosity, which affect the working state of the engine. If the oil viscosity used by the engine is reduced or increased at will, it will cause the engine to work poorly, resulting in increased fuel consumption, long-term use, and may also cause the engine cylinder wall oil film to be too thin, resulting in timely heat dissipation and cylinder pulling phenomenon. ,

In addition, there are many models that already use 0W-20 engine oil, and these engines are usually equipped with VVT variable timing valve technology. VVT engine is different from the general engine, first of all, the oil circuit design is very particular, because when adjusting the valve advance and delay Angle, the operation is completed by oil promotion. In order to ensure that the VVT can work in a timely and accurate manner, the VVT engine has very high requirements for the fluidity of the oil. If the oil viscosity is too high, it will make the engine VVT work retarded, so the engine with variable timing valve must use low roll resistance and high flow oil. If you replace the oil with 5W-30 or 5W-40, it will affect the normal operation of the VVT, so that the engine fuel consumption is higher, and even some other failures will occur.

3. Avoid aggressive driving after a cold start

When the external ambient temperature is low, the oil viscosity will increase, and the resistance between the surfaces of the friction components will increase, so it will be relatively difficult to start the vehicle. After the cold car starts, the oil is generally in the oil pan, the metal parts inside the engine have not been fully lubricated, coupled with the engine has not reached the normal working temperature, at this time, the accelerator, the metal parts movement strength becomes larger, it is easy to cause abnormal wear of the engine, resulting in shortened engine life. Moreover, for turbines, the turbocharger rotor runs at an average speed of tens of thousands of revolutions per minute, which is very important for lubrication, and if there is a problem with lubrication, it is easy to be burned out.

In addition, just after starting the vehicle to step on the accelerator, the oil pump will operate at high speed, the oil pump pressure will increase sharply, and the oil filter connected with it and the oil pressure sensor can not withstand such a high oil pressure, easy to lead to the expansion of the filter element, and even burst. Although some cars are equipped with pressure limiting valves, which can play a protective role to a certain extent, due to the large viscosity of oil in winter and sometimes too late to relieve pressure, it will still cause damage to engine components.

4. Avoid turning off the engine immediately after intense driving

The normal working temperature of the turbocharger can reach 900-1000 ° C, especially after the intense driving of the vehicle, the temperature of the turbine will be higher, if the engine is suddenly shut down after driving the vehicle, but the turbocharger is still working, at this time the oil pressure returns to zero, the oil can not continue to cycle, it will aggravate the wear of the bearing. At the same time, the oil at the floating bearing may coking due to high temperature, which will lead to the lubrication and seal at the bearing being destroyed, causing oil leakage and abnormal sound. Therefore, the normal practice should be in the intense driver, let the vehicle idle for a few minutes, rely on the engine's cooling system and fans to cool the turbine, and so on, after the temperature drops, we turn off the engine.

5. Avoid idling for a long time

Many people think that vehicle idling is not a very common thing, there is no big problem. As everyone knows, the engine long idle operation will cause supercharger oil leakage. Because when the turbine idles for a long time, negative pressure will be generated behind the turbine and impeller, and the position of the floating bearing itself will flow out of organic oil, then it will leak outwards under the action of pressure difference, and eventually lead to oil leakage of the supercharger.

In addition, too long idle time in place will also cause carbon accumulation, especially turbine engines, compared with self-priming engines, it is easier to produce carbon accumulation. Therefore, when the general idle speed takes more than 3 minutes, we can choose to turn off the engine and wait. As long as the speed of the hot car in winter falls back to 800 RPM /min, we can drive slowly, so that the vehicle transmission components gradually enter the normal working temperature.
